Why Does My Knee Hurt?
The knee is the largest joint in your body it is susceptible to injury. Because the knee is a complex joint, made up of many parts, there are numerous things that can go wrong. Many of these injuries can occur from long-term overuse, such as repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling and throwing. For this reason, athletes and skilled workers are particularly prone to knee injuries.
Contact sports or high-impact activities that feature rapid, twisting movements can place extreme forces on the knee, which can lead to injury.
Most Knee Pain falls into three categories:
- Knee Tendon inflammation or Knee Tendon Tears
- Knee Instability
- Arthritis of the Knee

Common knee complaints include mild to severe pain, swelling, clicking or popping, decreased range of movement, tenderness along the inner or outer side of the knee, or the feeling of the knee “giving way.”
