Tara Baxter, M.D.
Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Tara Baxter earned her medical degree from McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine in Ontario, Canada. She completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto, during which time she concurrently completed a Masters degree in clinical epidemiology and healthcare research. After residency, she completed a fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard University. She then undertook a further year of post-graduate training focusing specifically on community trauma and fracture surgery. Dr. Baxter is board certified in orthopaedic surgery as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Her main clinical interests are sport injuries and related surgery in adolescents and adults, primary hip and knee replacement, and fracture surgery.
